All Star Son

The Big Guy, my youngest son, is in Louisville, KY through Sunday to practice for and play in the Best of the Bluegrass All Star game. Quite an honor for him. He's a very good offensive lineman and played defensive line as his coach needed him. Being selected to play in this game is a great reward for his hard work and dedication over the past 8 years.

I always look back to that day, when my son was in the third grade, and he said, "Dad, I want to play football."

I looked at him and said, "You do?"

"Yeah, I'm good at knocking people over."

"I bet you are!" I replied.

Well, he was and still is.

Below are his highlights for this season, 2010.

Comments:
My favorite play is at 1:09, when the LB directs the DE (lining up way outside) to move inside against your son. There's just that moment of hesitation in the switch, that tells you the DE's been in front of your son before.

I'd reckon the results were similar to what happens.

Thanks for watching. All those teams are the same ones we played last year. I'm sure those guys remember him from last year, if not, earlier in the game.
