Bigotry and Racism Alive and Well In MIchigan Grade School

Michael Madison, principal of Dicken Elementary School in Ann Arber, Michigan, arranged a field trip where a large numnber of students were not allowed to go based solely on their race, white.
An Ann Arbor elementary school principal used a letter home to parents tonight to defend a field trip for black students as part of his school’s efforts to close the achievement gap between white and black students.

Dicken Elementary School Principal Mike Madison wrote the letter to parents following several days of controversy at the school after a field trip last week in which black students got to hear a rocket scientist.
Madison tries to justify his actions. Of course the stupidity of his logic and his actions would be laughable were he not in charge of a school. And, there is no justification for racism and bigotry. If he wants to close the achievement gap, he could take actions that encourage all students to work harder on their academics. Maybe, he, himself, doesn't believe that the children of his own race are as capable, that's certainly the message he's giving. Otherwise, why would he try to handicap non-black children. Rather than pull everyone up he's sponsoring a race to the bottom.

Great work, bigot. You shouldn't be working with children in any capacity. We don't need another generation poisoned by racist, bigoted beliefs.

Comments:
This is just unbelievable. I am just stunned.

I was stunned also.

CP - I saw that. I can't imagine what kind of idiocy goes through the heads of people that brings them to the point where they think wearing an American flag t-shirt in incendiary even if it is Cinco de Mayo (which is NOT a U.S. holiday).
