Obama and the Teleprompter
Apparently, Obama, the great orator, needs a teleprompter to speak in public. (And maybe not on public but, by definition, any time we see him speak.)
Will this be the eventual outcome?

Obama’s reliance on the teleprompter is unusual — not only because he is famous for his oratory, but because no other president has used one so consistently and at so many events, large and small.Although considered by the left to be mental migdet, George W could speak off the cuff.
The president’s teleprompter also elicited some uncomfortable laughter after he announced Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as his choice for Health and Human Services secretary.

The brusting colloquialisms of Ol' Dubya don't inspire much confidence in off-the-cuff speaking by the man.
Yeah, I'm sure Joe Biden speaks off-the-cuff as well, and we can see how that's working out for him.
Bobby Jindal is at his best when explaining actualities, and speaking from notecards. But he talks very, very fast normally. You saw what happened when he attempted to slow down.
Sarah Palin can't coherently answer a softball question on TV.
Everyone who speaks in public has their quirks. Obama wants to sound good in public, and with our sound byte media that focuses more on every stumble instead of overall message, who can blame him?

i, i, i , i io, iowa, uh, i , uh, iowahawk is one funny dude. Almost as funny as Obama without a teleprompter.
Rats, my computer is hosing. I need to hit the overcharge button.

Pat - I understand your point but I think the over use of the teleprompter shows lack of confidence or a lack of inner strength. Anyone who speaks in public is going to mess up. A mentally strong person can live with that.
I'd worry less about the President attacking Rush Limbaugh and more about any attack on Mike Judge. The fact that liberals haven't tried to have Idiocracy banned only shows what a stupid an humorless bunch they are.
