Too Big to Fail?

Cousin Pat from Georgia (he's not really my cousin but he'd be a keeper if he was) at Hurricane Radio asks two questions.
How big is "too big to fail?"

So, should we carry Roosevelt's big stick and start busting up some of these trusts?
My answers:

If you're too big to be allowed to fail, you're too big.

Absolutely.

Thanks.

Hopefully, once this unbelievable bailout + stimulus stuff is over (where I'm put in the ridiculous position of having to defend policies I don't like because the only alternatives are other policies I don't like), the lessons learned will be big enough to bring some sort of common sense back to Washington City.

I'm not holding my breath on that, though.
