Deputy Dumpster
A veteran deputy sheriff, Charlotte Marshall Jones of Hillsborough County, Florida, was caught on video dumping a quadriplegic man out of his wheelchair while he was being booked on Jan. 29. Apparently Jones decided Brian Sterner, 32, was faking his paralysis and dumped him out of the chair to prove it. Another deputy can be seen in the foreground smiling about the situation.
Watch the video. There is no question that this was a purposeful action by the deputy. Sterner is simply sitting (What else could he do?) in his wheelchair when Jones steps behind him and summarily dumps him on the tile covered concrete floor.
Incredible. Jones needs about 10 years of meaningless clerical duty at best. Everytime I see a video tape like this I wonder how many other times something similar happened and there was no tape or witnesses.
