Burning Down the House

A couple of days ago, DrHelen wrote about people burning down their houses because they can't make their mortgage payments. Seems that may not be the only reason. In Cincinnati, it appears a mother of two sets of triplets (Yes, two sets.) was passing bad checks despite receiving significant charitable help from the community.

Cincinnati disc jockey, Gary Jeff Walker, isn't too happy.
Last week,(you can check the archives) I wrote about the Lasita family. On Monday night I and several other musicians performed at a benefit for this family. Tuesday, I started feeling very foolish for doing so.
The thing that the rest of us didn't know is that Victoria was questioned by investigators the day before her Delhi home burned down. Again, I don't believe in coincidence .

I don't mind doing whatever I can when someone truly needs help. Neither did two Biggs stores when they collected $9,000 to help the family. Or, the Lasitas' church family that collected all that cash for the twin sets of triplets who now had no home.

No, when Victoria Lasita was busted on Tuesday on these theft charges and the others against her, I was left feeling pretty bad about the human race. On the plus side, look at all the people who turned out to help someone who truly didn't deserve a second look?
Some people just make life hard on themselves, to say the least.
