What Is Hillary's Experience??

Hillary makes a point, or not, about Oboma's foreign policy experience.
Hillary Rodham Clinton ridiculed Democratic rival Barack Obama on Tuesday for his contention that living abroad as a child helped give him a better understanding of the foreign policy challenges facing the U.S.

"Voters will have to judge if living in a foreign country at the age of 10 prepares one to face the big, complex international challenges the next president will face," Clinton said. "I think we need a president with more experience than that, someone the rest of the world knows, looks up to and has confidence in."
Just much more foreign policy experience does Hillary have than Oboma? Not much really? Does watching Bill screw up in Somalia count? Will the world look up to and have confidence in a woman who sat in the waiting room while her husband was serviced by young interns in the Oval Office?

Fortunately for the good of our country, Hillary is looking more hillaryous each day. Keep up the good work, Senator!!

Comments:
Except for a few shining moments, the last President with any sort of brain when it came to foreign policy was Eisenhower. Then some Presidents augmented their own inexperience with a guy named Kissinger.

I can sum up the major parties' foreign policy plans in two easy sentences:

If you're a Democrat, you put too much trust in the United Nations working.

If you're a Republican, you put too much trust in Saudi Arabia and China not screwing us.

And before anyone starts talking about Reagan, please remember that at the time, he had the Dream Team of foreign policy leaders across the world: Gorbachev, Thatcher and John Paul the Great. Not to say Reagan wasn't good at what he did, and I recognize that he accomplished some pretty big things, but let's remember who was also on the field at the time.

I don't know if 'experience' with the most recent set of worldwide yahoos running the international community is a plus for any candidate right now.

Eisenhower?! You're probably right. I'm not one of the Reagan was the greatest guys. Didn't vote for him. And, yes, he was fortunate in how he matched up with foreign leaders.

Foreign policy experience isn't as important as who the president surrounds him/hersefl with as foreign policy advisors, Secretary of State, etc., plus having a level head. In Hillary and Oboma's cases we have little to go on in predecting this except that maybe Hillary will use many of the same people as Bill did.

Maybe I'm gettin more cynical as I get older but my hopes aren't real high with any of the crowd. Although, I did take an online quiz that matched me with Huckabee pretty well and another that matched me with Duncan Hunter.
