Bye, Bye, Birdie Rosie
Rosie O'Donnell has left the view.
The woman has problems beyond her belief that fire can't melt steel.
I'll miss Rosie. She's a female Al Gore, provides lots of easy material at which to poke fun. It's hilarious that the likable but, seemingly, intellectually average Elisabeth Hasselback got the best of Rosie. I have to wonder if Hasselback has been stereotyped because she is an attractive blond. Of course, we know all about dumb blonds, don't we.
I'm hope Rosie continues to be a in the public eye, to provide us with fodder for hilarity. We need liberals like Rosie to keep speaking out to remind us just how removed from reality their beliefs are.
ABC said Friday she won't be back on the show following her angry confrontation with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Wednesday.Rosie is apparently decided to leave the view early due to a spat with Hasselback.
On Wednesday’s show, O’Donnell (who leaves the show for good in three weeks) blasted Hasselbeck for not coming to her defense on the matter. “Do you believe that I think our troops are terrorists, Elisabeth?”Read the whole thing. There is also video at the link. Further on O'Donnell added, "Here’s how it gets spun in the media: Rosie – big, fat, lesbian loud Rosie -- attacks innocent, pure Christian Elisabeth." Pretty much describes what happened if you ask me. :-)
She pressed: “Yes or no? Do you believe it, yes or no?”
“Excuse me, let me speak!” Hasselbeck snapped. “Let me finish!”
At this point, the conversation moved into split screen mode.
“I don’t believe that you believe troops are terrorists. I have said that before,” Hasselbeck continued, “but when you say something like, ‘655,00 Iraqis are dead. We invaded them…who are the terrorists?’…” She trailed off.
O’Donnell repeated: “Do you believe that I think our troops are terrorists, Elisabeth?..You would not even look me in the face, Elisabeth, and say, 'No, Rosie.' "
Hasselbeck shot back: “Because you are an adult, and I am certainly not going to be the person for you to explain your thoughts…Defend your own thoughts!"
But O’Donnell argued that whenever she goes up against her cohost, she's portrayed as a bully. “I defend my thoughts. But every time I defend them, it’s poor little Elisabeth that I’m picking on.”

I find it amazing , no amazing is the wrong word...let me think. I find it Cringeworthy (KRINJ-wur-thee) that so much attention is given to this person. She got time on Fox News ( where they diss'ed her good), then on other news channels as if this meaningful catfight on The View was a pinnacle performance or of great import.
Rosie makes war policy and says she is patriotic. Very topical info that will make a difference -as each of them bludgeon each other with words. They then hop into to their limo's after the show to go get a cuticle push. Jheesh!
(Oh,ahhh, Rosie pass me a bon-bon, thank you).
Now the news finds it necessary to report on garrr-bage like this, as with the Alan Baldwin fiasco. How is this my business and why is it news worthy? We're becoming gossip hounds and we find pleasure in others' grief, pain? If there was a Torture Rack Channel on Cable, I bet you would have an eye balls glued to it. but I digress.
Rosie - good bye. Trying to be that wholesome mother-figure , where you and the Trumpster trade slashes and jabs. Perfect fodder for the kids to see. How two (fithy rich) adults behave - perfect . Just like on Ozzie and Harriet.
Thanks for the rant...
Oh and Dadvocate being a newbie to BLOGs I started one ... let me know if I can link to you and you to me. I will not post it here without your permission and instruction.

regular guy - feel free to post my link and I will be glad to post yours.
I agree with your thoughts on Rosie, Fox News, etc. I hesitated to put anything on my blog and wouldn't have until she left the show. I've never watched more than 5 minutes of the view and that was pre-Rosie. I'm continually flabbergasted that such shows get enough viewership to remain on TV. Oh, well.
