Bossing God
The Anchoress has a post today that includes a discussion of "Luke 10:38-42, the part of the Gospel where Martha complains to Jesus that Mary is just sitting at his feet listening to him, instead of working with her. "
My favorite sentence: Indeed, the surest sign that something is off in Martha’s soul is that she even tells God what to do!
Reminds me of my ex-wife. While we now get along reasonably well, I've never met another person who spent as much time telling others what to do while doing so little herself.

Having known a few Martha's it does sound like a typical "Martha" thing to do, boss people around - they're never content unless active doing something no matter how trivial (and nothing to a Martha is trivial).
