How Inconvenient Is the Truth?
An interesting article regarding global warming debunks Gore's movie.
Having taken several geology classes in college, I realize that the earth's temperature has fluctuated throughout its history. We should always be careful to study the impact of human endeavors upon our environment. But the histrionics of Mr. Gore are for political gain not scientifically based concern.
Professor Bob Carter of the Marine Geophysical Laboratory at James Cook University, in Australia gives what, for many Canadians, is a surprising assessment: "Gore's circumstantial arguments are so weak that they are pathetic. It is simply incredible that they, and his film, are commanding public attention."Obviously, Gore's motives are political and his grasp of science, and many academic subjects, is suspect.

Carter's a nutbal denier. Experts worldwide denounce his amatuerish rants. He's wrong on every aspect of the issue as are you. No surprise there on this end.
No problem, Woody. Hopefully he's better than one "environmentalist" I know who drives an SUV that gets 18 mpg highway. (He actually posted that on his now defunct blog.) Mark is rather hostile which is not a good way to bring someone over to your viewpoint.
I've seen it before in relation to another screed about something else you don't know anything about. My patience with folks this clueless is wearing thin. Your grasp of science is suspect based on the fallacies you write about. Part of the dumb middle. "Stupid is as stupid does," Forrest Gump. It's a shame education leaves some in the dust. With all the hard evidence you let politics cloud your brain, and fuzzy logic is what you have left.
I don't know about the SUV, since I drive an old Ford Ranger that gets 30 mpg, so again you don't know how to click on my not defunct blog, even. Those skill levels are reflected in your lack of erudition and understanding of scientific reality.

Frankly, Mark, I'm not interested in what you have to say. There is too much emotion in your comments which is why I don't click on your name to see your blog. This is not a political topic although Gore and others, such as yourself, try to make it so by engaging in witch hunts, name calling, ad hominems, etc.
I wonder if you're so sanctimonious in every aspect of your life. The history of science of riddled with examples of "stupid" persons who turned out to be right. Obviously, your mind is so set on one conclusion that you will never learn anything new in this area.
