Kennedy Ready to Give Away Your Country
Ted Kennedy addressed the immigration protesters yesterday. He starts out with the usual scare tactics.
Ted Kennedy with the millions of his family fortune, for which he did no work, will suffer no potential losses no matter what happens on this issue. He only seeks more power. Seducing several million potential voters to the Democratic Party will ensure that power is realized. The poor, young, under-educated black male will probably suffer more than anyone. How readily Kennedy abandons this group while usurping their cry for equality. But Hispanics are outnumbering African Americans so time to court a different underclass.
Illegal immigrants come to the U.S. for economic reasons and no other. Most work hard for illegally low wages and eventually return to Mexico. What other country in the world would allow such free passage across its borders or consider any sort of amnesty program. None, not even Mexico. (Hat tip to just muttering.) Try to immigrate to Australia or New Zealand. Forget about it!!
Is it too much to ask for control of our borders, controlled immigration, identified and cleared immigrants? I think not.
Kennedy is such a savior of the oppressed minorities that his Senate Homepage pictures him reading to a group of children, all of which are minorities. White man's burden is so great!!
For the rest of us, remember that Kennedy and his ilk are the reason the illegal immigration problem has reached such great heights. He cares little, if at all, about the people he is supposed to represent, U.S. citizens.

It's about excess freedom not even allowed to our own citizens that illegal immigrants don't want to relinquish.

in the UK, we have a similar problem, but our illegals are from china mostly, but we have them from everywhere, i applaud the immigrants who come here and follow the rules, how become citizens, they are the ones needed.

It must be rather difficult to get from China to the UK but where there's a will...
I fully understand the desire of immigrants to come to the U.S. from Mexico and other Latin American countries. It just needs to be done legal and controlled fashion.

breadbreaker - You are absolutely correct about the collusion. And, I believe, as I've stated in other posts (maybe not clearly enough), that the politicians are in collusion with business to allow these underpaid illegal immigrant workers. Businesses' make more profit, politicians get donations, the immigrants get exploited. Unfortunately, things are so bad in most of Latin America that being paid illegallly low wages in the U.S. is an improvement.
I don't blame the immigrants at all. I know a now legal immigrant (I'm not sure if he was originally legal or illegal. He did know how to speak English quite well when I first met him.) from Mexico City, life is very bad there for the ordinary citizen. He's a wonderful, honest, hardworking person who will do almost anything for you. I'm glad to have people like him in our country. We just need to ensure the people coming into our country are like him, they are paid a legal wage, they pay taxes, they come in reasonable numbers, etc.

its actually quite easy, hong kong used to belong to the UK, the chinese, would hop the border and can travel, the uk gave hongkong back, but there are a LOT of industries there that have links to the UK and a lot of transports from china..
and you have professional people smugglers too, sometimes called snakeheads, by boat, truck and a lot of these people die before getting here.

so long as people make a legal effort to become a citizin and learn our culture, then thats fine, they are the hardest workers, its the ones who dont they are the problem
