From the We Have To Pass It To Find Out What's In It World

"President Barack Obama's health care law would let several million middle-class people get nearly free insurance meant for the poor, a twist government number crunchers say they discovered only after the complex bill was signed."

Are the Democrats stupid or just dumb? Who knows how many loopholes and jut plain old holes are in that bill.

Is this the hope or the change?

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there. Perhaps the most under-appreciated role in our society.

Garofalo: It's Not Weiner's Fault

Listen to the idiots in the audience applaud her.

Word has it that Weiner is starting a Democratic Perverts Congressional Caucus. (No need for Republicans Perverts Congressional Caucus - it's always their fault.)

Uh huh. Poor little Weiner takes pictures of his nether regions, then texts and tweets them to women everywhere. Poor little Anthony. It's not his fault.

Garafalo's only appeal is that she says stupid, liberal stuff like this. Did you get a chance to watch her on "Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior?" Truly bad show. CBS already put it out of its misery with a cancellation.

More on Garofalo's comments here. Garofalo said "everyone lies about sex." I know I do. I say it was good when it wasn't.

According to Chris Matthews It's the Rural, Backwards People That Don't Like Weiner's "Kind of Stuff"

Espousing another one of his mindless insights, regarding Weinergate, Matthews says,
you throw on top of that immoral behavior, indiscrete behavior, embarrassing behavior, gross behavior like this, and you still have him in your midst.
Matthews follows that up with
the people in the rural areas of this country who are Christian conservative culturally – you can say backward if you want – but they don’t like this kind of stuff at all. They’re not part of that 56 percent in Brooklyn and Queens who say, “okay, we can live with this guy.
Yeah, only the backward, rural, conservative Christians disapprove of Anthony Weiner's sending X-rated pictures, etc.

If that's true, this country's in a sad state. More likely, Chris Matthews is a sad, closed minded, bigoted liberal hack.

Defend Yourself Juxtaposition

Interesting juxtaposition at Instapundit today.

I've read David Baron's book at Instapundits recommendation. A well written, easy read about events leading up to the killing of a high school boy by a mountain lion.

One of the lessons taught in the book is that mountain lions follow their favorite prey, deer. Deer run abundantly where I live and a mountain lion reportedly showed its face 5 miles from where I live, which is bigger reason why I bought a gun and took a concealed carry class than anything else.

Why God Let Obama Be Elected President

He wanted to teach liberals how stupid and wrong it is to judge people by the color of their skin.

You Must Give the Government the Keys to Your Business, Apartment, Etc.

Cedar Falls, IA passes a law requiring "mandatory lockboxes containing entry keys for all commercial properties. This includes apartment buildings and triplexes."

Don't worry. It's for your own good.

More Guns Do Not Equal More Crime

Via the Buckeye Firearms Association:
Preliminary crime data from the FBI for 2010 adds more evidence that gun prohibitionists have been consistently wrong, and that more guns do not equal more crime, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

According to the FBI, all four violent crime offense categories show declines nationwide for 2010, with murder and manslaughter down 4.4 percent from 2009, robbery down 9.5 percent and aggravated assault down 3.6 percent. Forcible rape was down 4.2 percent. Violent crime declined in all four regions of the country. At the same time, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation, firearm sales were up dramatically.

....

"The bottom line," Gottlieb stated, "is that none of the extremist predictions about blood in the streets and skyrocketing body counts as a result of increased gun ownership, reformed gun laws and expanded concealed carry have come true. Once again, the Chicken Little mentality of the anti-gun lobby has been refuted by the facts.
Reminds me of this non-incident in Pittsburgh recently.
