You Can't Fix Stupid

Instapundit posted on an initiative by Republican Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin to "o force Internet companies to keep track of what their users are doing. great. What makes politicians think we want the government tracking our every move and to live in a world of no privacy? The Tea Party didn't support Republicans to have more government intrusion and control of every day live.

Instapundit titles his post "THEY CALL IT THE STUPID PARTY FOR A REASON:"

Remember the wise words of Ron White, "You can't fix stupid."

Longing for the Original Democrat

Nowadays leftie Democrats whine over "sight" marks (from a rifle sight I suppose, but they could be from a bomb sight) on a political campaign map. The cry and blubber that the right wing puts out a steady stream of violent rhetoric. Indeed, the lefties produce and endless assembly line of tearful complaints about right wing violent imagery and metaphors.

Sarah Palin made a good point. "But when was it less heated? Back in those “calm days” when political figures literally settled their differences with dueling pistols??"

Makes me long for the original Democrat. This guy was one bad ass SOB. He didn't take crap from no one and he didn't cry. He fought 13 duels, killing one man. He had one bullet in his chest so close to his heart it could never be removed. He had been shot so many times people said he "rattled like a bag of marbles."

In the military, he earned the moniker "Old Hickory" because he was as tough as a piece of hickory wood. He gained fame leading his troops to one of the great military victories of our country. He inflicted "2,037 casualties: 291 dead (including three senior generals), 1,262 wounded, and 484 captured or missing" on the enemy while his troops suffered small numbers: "71 casualties: 13 dead, 39 wounded, and 19 missing."

As president he became the target of the first assassination attempt. Both pistols of the would be assassin misfired and legend has it he attacked the man "with his cane, prompting his aides to restrain him."

No. There wouldn't be any crying and whining from the guy. He'd be out there fighting like hell for what he believed in without bawling. And if one of today's crybaby Democrats came to him pouting, he'd look at them and say,

"You know what makes me sad?"

[pause]

"YOU DO! MAYBE WE SHOULD CHUG ON OVER TO MAMBY PAMBY LAND WHERE MAYBE WE CAN FIND SOME SELF-CONFIDENCE FOR YOU, YOU JACK-WAGON!"

[pause]

"Tissue?"

[pause] Tosses tissue box on floor.

"Crybaby."

Thanks to R. Lee Ermey

P.S. - I wonder if it means anything that the first Democratic president was responsible for the Trail of Tears which resulted in the death of over 4,000 Cherokee Indians while the first Republican president freed the slaves.

Democratic Congressman Uses Tragedy to Promote Fascism

Rep. Robert Brady, D-Pennsylvania, says he plans to introduce legislation that will make is possible to arrest anyone who criticizes a Member of Congress or federal official too harshly.
Rep. Robert Brady, D-Pennsylvania, said he will introduce legislation making it a federal crime for a person to use language or symbols that could be perceived as threatening or inciting violence against a Member of Congress or federal official.
Brady is particularly incensed over a web posting by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin during the 2010 election in which she targeted 20 House Democrats, including Giffords for political defeat. The posting showed a map of the United States with the 20 Democratic congressional districts identified by gun sights.

"You can't put bulls eyes or crosshairs on a United States congressman or a federal official," Brady said. "I understand this web site that had it on there is no longer in existence. Someone is feeling a little guilty."
Bozo Brady apparently had no comment on the bulls eyes on the Democratic campaign map from 2004. Bozo should be flattered that Palin imitated the Democrats. As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

More likely is that Bozo Brady wants to be able to imprison Sarah Palin and anyone else who threatens the election or re-election of any Democrat. That's the real threat he's worried about. Welcome to the fascist, totalitarian minds of left wing Democrats. Get your shots in now. Very soon you may go to jail for saying something.

Oh, did I say "shots?" Oh, my. Is that someone knocking on my door? Uh Oh.

Loughner Is CRAZY; Lefities are LIARS

I love the first guy interviewed in this video. Sounds intelligent, is well spoken and has bright fuchsia hair.

We have yet to find any evidence that Loughner ever saw or new of the existence of the horrid Palin map that used sight marks, like the sights you'd find in a WW II bomber, to indicate the states in which she was focusing on helping Republicans win seats. But, the shameless and idiotic left wingers continue efforts to assign blame for this tragedy on any and every conservative they can while living in total denial about any violent rhetoric or actions they've committed. Hypocrites and liars of the highest order.

One thing that all the people calling for moderation of speech so as not to incite crazy people clearly demonstrate is their profound lack of understanding of what craziness is. Having worked in a mental health center for 5 years where some of patients were paranoid schizophrenics and paranoid personalities, of which at least one had committed murder (his mother), I can tell you it doesn't take any rhetoric for these people to get incited.

Where do they get the idea others can read their minds? That multitudes of other people are watching them? That the government is tracking them where ever they go? And the endless stream of other delusional thoughts? Political rhetoric has nothing to do with it. Crazy people are CRAZY!

To promote the idea that we can stop crazy people from doing crazy things by watching our language in political debate is crazy in itself. And stupid.

But rest assured, if you die at the hands of a lunatic, Democrats will use your death to further their political agenda.

UPDATE:

No violent rhetoric in this Democratic campaign, just shooting of a gun. No violence in implying shooting his opponent, is there?

Did Daily Kos Contribute to the Shooting of Congresswoman Giffords and Others?

Daily Kos published the post "My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi! And is now is DEAD to me." (screen shot linked to below) referring to Congresswoman Gabriella Giffords on Jan. 6, 2011. On Jan. 8, 2011, Congresswoman Giffords and others are shot, some killed. The post has now mysteriously disappeared from the Daily Kos site. But a screen shot is at the link below.

Obama Song

Over at GM's Place today, I found this video/song about Obama below posted. The song is sung to the tune of the old Richie Valens song, "Oh, Donna."

Nearly three years ago I wrote a song set to the same tune. I think I posted it in the comments on another blog at some point. I just though it was an interesting coincidence in using the same tune. Below are the lyrics I wrote. I found them on my hard drive, last saved on Feb. 29, 2008. To bad I can't sing as well as Christina Houston.

Obama, Obama
Obama, Obama

I met a man, Obama is his name
Since he saved me
I've never been the same
'Cause I love my man, Obama
Will you save me?
Will you save me?

Now that you've come
I'm full of great hope
All the day long, to campaign and vote
'Cause I love my man
Obama, will you save me?
Will you save me?

Well, Barack, now that you're here
I don't know what I'll do
Ooh, 'cause I've had all my love
For-or you-ooo-ooo-ooo, ooo-woo-mmm

I met a man, Obama is his name
Since he saved me
I've never been the same
'Cause I love my man, Obama
Will you save me?
Will you save me?

Obama, Obama
Obama, Obama
